The shape of the body

Knowing the shape of the body is important because the parts of the doll you do not see might still influence the flowing of the fabric.

Keep these drawings in mind when you do folds. You want to accentuate the shape of the body when you do folds. Notice that in front view the hips and shoulders are the broadest part and in side view you can see how the breasts and the bottom stands out.
I've done some primitive skecthes of clothes to show the difference of tight and loose clothing on the body...
